Autumn Opening

We will be opening the Berry Barn for the autumn season on October 6, and we will have our autumn offerings until October 31.

Pumpkin Hunt, Gourds, Mini-Pumpkins and Mums

In the autumn, we have pumpkins, both large and small, waiting for you at the Berry Barn. You can select a housebroken pumpkin from our store, or visit our pumpkin patch and hunt down a wild one.

Silly gourds, mini-pumpkins and gorgeous mums are available in a range of colors to add a touch of fall to your decor.

Heart of Ohio Trail

Park at our barn, ride on the bike trail and eat fresh sausage or hamburgers afterwards!  Make a day of it for the whole family!

Hayrides

Our hay rides are a favorite among the young and young at heart. Groups of all sizes are welcome, from Scouts to Church groups. The Berry Barn provides a wonderful weekend afternoon for families of all age groups and sizes.  Schedule them ahead of time for a group.

Decorative Corn Stalks

During the autumn, we will have decorative corn stalks for sale. Add a special seasonal touch to your home or garden by combining these with a couple of our pumpkins or with your own fall harvest.

At the Marshall Family Farm, we grow strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. When berries are in season, you can either pick your own or take home berries that we have pre-picked and packaged for you.

Even when berries are not in season, we offer jars of the toppings we make from the fresh berries and use in our own Pastry Mill.

Farm Fresh Fare

We offer cooked-to-order our own fresh, farm-raised steak burgers and sausage, served with a variety of condiments. Add freshly cut potato fries or grilled peppers and onions to make a hearty meal. If you're looking for comfort food, try our home-style chicken and noodles as an entree or as a side dish.

The Pastry Mill

For dessert or a light snack, try our freshly made French waffles, funnel cakes, or baby elephant ears.

Our pastries include flour that is made right here from scratch. Ohio winter wheat is grown on the Marshall Family farm, and once the wheat and tares are separated, the wheat is ground into flour. This is done right before your eyes using an antique John Deere hit-and-miss engine.

To make our French waffles and other pastries even more delicious, you can add your choice of strawberry or raspberry fruit topping. The fruit was picked here on the Marshall Family farm and made into topping, following a special recipe, at a locally owned cannery.

If you are interested in a particular activity, please call ahead to make sure it will be available during the time of your visit.

Nature Trails - private hiking trails and direct access to the Heart of Ohio Bike Trail

Fishing - bring your own rod or rent one of ours

Primitive Camping by appointment - pitch your tent in a private meadow surrounded by woods and fields in autumn splendor

Our activities are geared to provide fun for nature enthusiasts, families with children, and people of all ages and abilities. We also have experience planning events for groups with special needs. Give us a call if you'd like to plan a special Berry Barn outing for your family or group.

Group events at the Berry Barn can be customized to your needs. For example, your group can visit our farm animal petting zoo, take a walk along the scenic Heart of Ohio trail that runs through our property, pick your own berries or pumpkins, then sample our fresh French waffles. We offer a variety of food packages from our Country Kitchen, ranging from a hot beverage or light snack to a more complete meal. We also can provide and set up sound equipment.
